7 Days: Mt. Kenya, Samburu, Nakuru, Mara

Day 1: Nairobi - Mount Kenya

Leave Nairobi at 07:00 a.m. and drive to Mount Kenya, arriving in time for lunch at your camp / lodge. In the afternoon take a game drive. In this park you'll be able to see pristine wilderness, lakes, tarns, glaciers and peaks of great beauty, geological variety, forest, miniral springs, rare and endangered species of animals, high atitude adapted plains game, unique montane and alpine vegetation with 11 species of endemic plants. Animals include Elephants, Tree Hyrax, White-tailed Mongose, Suni, Black-fronted Duiker, Mole Rats, Bushbuck, Waterbuck and Eland. Animals rarely seen include Leopard, Giant Forest Hog, Bongo and Rhino. Over 130 bird species have been recorded. Dinner and overnight at your camp / lodge.

Day 2: Mount Kenya

Full day spent in Mount Kenya. Take a guided forest walk. Meals and overnight at your camp / lodge.

Day 3: Mt. Kenya - Samburu

After breakfast drive to Samburu National Reserve, arrive in time for lunch at your camp / lodge. After lunck take a game drive in the park. In this reserve you have the chance to spot the Elephant, Lion, Buffalo, the rare desert species of Beisa Oryx, Reticulated Giraffe, and Grevy's Zebra. Dinner served at your camp / lodge. 

Day 4: Samburu - Lake Nakuru

After breakfast drive to Nakuru. Arrive in time for lunch at your camp / lodge. In the afternoon take a game drive in the park. Nakuru National Part is famous for the Flamingos (Greater & Lesser) and other water birds, including a variety of terrestial birds numbering about 450 species in total. It has a wide range of mammals including Rhino, Buffalo, Lion, Zebra and other plain game. It has unique vegetation with different plant species including the biggest Euphorbia forest in Africa, and the Yellow Acacia. Dinner and overnight at your camp / lodge.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara

Leave at 07:00 a.m. and drive to the edge of the Rift Valley. Descend the escarpment and drive via Narok to Masai Mara Game Reserve, arriving in time for lunch at your camp / lodge. Take an afternoon of game viewing. The Masai Mara adjoins Tanzania's Serengeti National Park and is famous for its black maned Lion and yearly migrations of Wildebeest and Zebras. Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino, Gazelles, Leopard and Giraffe are also found here. Dinner and overnight at your camp / lodge.

Day 6: Masai Mara

A full day spent viewing and exploring this spectacular national park with a visit to the Mara River where the Wildebeest migration takes place. Here you can see Hippos and Crocodiles co-rexisting in the same waters. With luck, you may even find a Cheetah. Meals and overnight at your camp / lodge. 

Day 7: Masai Mara - Nairobi

This day you wake up early to a pre breakfast game drive. This will give you a chance to spot the shy animals. Return to the lodge for breakfast, then drive back to Nairobi, arriving mid afternoon. Drop off at the airport.
